In a radical privacy policy shift, Google announced today that it will begin tracking users across all services—email, Search, YouTube and more—sharing information with no option to opt out. The change was announced in a blog post today, and will go into effect March 1.

I have GMail on my Nook Colour, and I went to search something online when I realized it had imported my searches from my computer. That’s right, it had SAVED my searches and then sent them to another device without any permission.

In other news, I still can’t get married, global warming is slowly starting to spiral out of control, the US continues its indiscriminate slaughters veiled behind the guise of ‘spreading democracy’ or whatever it is they’re saying these days, the reproductive rights of people with uteri are still under attack, aaaaand our economy is still tanked.

But the important thing is that people can’t download episodes of trashy animes and poorly-written sitcoms anymore. Truly, the priorities in this country are outstanding and worthy of admiration.

if you have missing e installed, DO NOT MAKE ANY CHANGES TO YOUR BLOG!!! Tumblr people seem to have decided to try and force us to stop using missing e. If you try and customize settings on your blog, it comes up with a ‘security warning’ which you have to reset your password to get rid of. It then reverts your blog back to complete basics; removes your theme and all your settings. Even if you reset your password, as soon as you try and re-install your theme it comes up again. Then if you try and email tumblr support, it says something along the lines of ‘we cannot assist users that have missing e installed’. It’s essentially a trap, don’t fall down it. Even if you don’t have missing e, please reblog this so that others can see it. Thanks :)

I’ve seen numerous people reporting this. I think I may be leaving soon, because I do not approve of a company using scare tactics and intentionally screwing up their userbase’s functionality because they don’t like a WEB BROWSER ADD-ON that doesn’t even TOUCH their API.

If this is in fact the case, I want to make sure people are aware of it. Just a heads up.

Recently, you did a sold-out show on my campus, in an auditorium that holds about 750 students. I’m not going to do the numbers for you, but you can bet your ass that there was at least one survivor in that venue. Actually, there was definitely more than one. Guess what? You just made a joke out of one of the most terrifying, violating, and heinous experiences of his or her life. Feel like a comedian now?

Did you know that 60% of sexual assaults go unreported, and that only one in sixteen rapists will ever face jail time?

Every time you make a joke about rape, you make a joke of the people who have experienced it. You give them reason not to report their assault, because it’s a fucking joke to you, so it probably is to everyone else too, right? The fact that it’s acceptable to joke about rape is the reason why so many rapists walk free. Because low-lifes like you think it’s okay to trivialize it - oh, hey, it’s no big deal, we can all laugh about it. Even worse, by joking about rape, you make any rapist sitting in the audience think that his actions are okay. That they’re not such a big deal. Most rapists don’t attack strangers. So there could be a guy sitting in your audience who hears your joke and thinks hey, when I gave that girl a few too many drinks last weekend and then had sex with her while she was drunk out of her mind, that was no big deal. Maybe I’ll do it again next weekend. No big! It’s funny! Comedians think it’s funny!

You, Donald Glover, when you make light of rape, both trigger survivors in the audience and legitimize perpetrators who hear your jokes. You also act like a complete fucking douchebag. Be a responsible adult and think before you joke next time, okay? Some things are off-limits. (via yellowcars)

The one thing I hate about the public high school system, is that adult beurocracy and politics always takes precedent over the actual students and them getting the proper education they deserve.

Always. Students don’t get the attention and services they need to succeed and teachers are never really supported in stepping outside the norm to deliver to their students what the school districts refuse. It becomes more about the administration than it does the teachers and their relationship with their students and thats sad.

and I didnt even mention how racist, sexist, classist and fucked up this whole shitty scenario is.
